There are nine types of Intelligences as given by Prof. Howard Gardner in his book Frames of Mind published in the year 1983. There have been various research papers published based on the Multiple Intelligence theory. The MI theory proposes that every child is unique and possesses different proportions of each of these Intelligence types. For example, as child may be a nature lover, a very good sports person at the same time it is possible that he has interest in music as well. In the Educational institutes only two intelligence types are tested that is Logical Mathematical and Linguistic intelligence. The parents are still unaware of this fact and are pushing their children to compete for a high score in these two intelligence types only.
We at Edubuk have developed a Test (MIIT Screening) Multiple Intelligence, Interest and Talent to find out what each child is genius at.
Given below is a short description of each of the nine Intelligence Types:
1) Linguistic Intelligence (Word Smart)
This refers to the ability to use, write and speak words effectively. Individuals with high Linguistic Intelligence have developed auditory skills and often think in words. They like reading, writing stories or poetry etc. This intelligence type is most prevalent in successful writers, speakers, poets, journalists etc.
2) Naturalistic Intelligence (Nature Smart)
This refers to the ability to differentiate between living things and other features of nature like different types of rocks, plants, clouds, animals, flowers, environmental patterns etc. This intelligence type is most prevalent in archaeologists, zoologists, botanists, geologists etc.
3) Logical Mathematical Intelligence (Number and Reasoning Smart)
This refers to the ability to think logically, analyse problems, and perform mathematical calculations. Individuals with high Logical Mathematical Intelligence like to experiment, solve puzzles, write computer software programs etc. This intelligence type is most prevalent in scientists, engineers, computer experts, accountants, statisticians, analysts etc.

Individuals with high Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence have keen sense of body awareness and communicates well with their body-language and movements like in dancing and sports activities. This intelligence type is most prevalent in dancers, actors, athletes, stage performers, fire-fighters etc.
